The Capital City Center development will be located on four blocks adjacent to the Capitol City Convention Complex on Pascagoula Street. Towering over the development will be the 19-story Crowne Plaza Hotel, with 300 guest rooms and amenities including a fitness center, indoor pool, gift shop, business center and a restaurant and lounge. To the west of the Crowne Plaza will be a 175-room Staybridge Suites Hotel, a premier extended stay hotel featuring a full range of amenities as well.
Directly across from the convention complex will be a 1500-car garage that will provide parking for the convention center as well as the hotel, retail and office spaces. All total there will be 2278 parking spaces in the development. A series of skywalks will link the two hotels and parking areas to the Capital City Convention Complex.
The building that houses the Staybridge Suites will include 40,000 square feet of retail space and a 162-car garage. There will be 13,000 square feet of retail in the Crowne Plaza building.
A separate building facing the convention center complex on Pascagoula Street will include 50,000 square of Class A office space and 5,000 square feet of retail space. The parking garage will also include 19,000 square feet of retail.
At the west end of the development will be an approximately 200-unit luxury apartment building between Pascagoula Street and Pearl Street with a 532-car parking area. This building will include 9,000 square feet of retail. Just south of this building and connected by a skywalk will be an approximately 150-unit independent senior living complex next to the Convention Center complex. The building between Pascagoula and Court Street will include parking for 84 cars. |
